Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Fisher Price!  Someone over there must have felt our recent disappointment in trying to find a truly exceptional swing, because they really delivered!

How many of you mothers went through more than one swing per child because you bought the wrong swing?  It’s not a good feeling when after 3 or 4 months of use a motor bites the dust or something cracks or it’s just no longer usable for whatever reason.  At that point both baby and mommy are liking the swing, so you have to go out and buy another one.  Feelings of buyers’ remorse aside – it’s a pretty important piece of equipment and we have been looking for the absolute best one for quite some time now.

Fisher Price’s new Zen Collection™ is truly breathtaking.  The attention to detail and the quality of the entire collection is really far above and beyond what we had expected.  The collection includes their Cradle Swing, Gliding Bassinet, Highchair and Infant Seat.  They are all aboslutely lovely and the functionality and design of this collection is truly divine!  We really love the earthy tones, real wood accents and luxurious fabrics that they used, setting this collection far apart from any other.  Take one look and you will understand.

The swing’s construction is very high-end and it’s built to last.  It is very simple to operate, and even when changing positions or removing the seat for easy portability, there’s one great button that does it all!  It swings both forward and side to side too.  The mobile is simple but cute, and the music that it plays is actually nice, rather than the techno-electro type of chimyness that most other swings subject everyone to.  It also has waterfall and cricket type nature noises that are quite interesting.

The swing’s cover comes off quite easily for cleaning.   After 3 wash and drys (inside out, delicate cycle, low heat) it still came out looking new with no pilling or shifting of the padding at all!  This makes us smile.  Fisher price will also sell replacement covers for the seat through their parts department eventually.  (It’s such a new product that they don’t have them just yet.)  TIP: buy an extra cover so that you can rotate them rather than washing and waiting!

The swing itself operates on 4 D-sized batteries, or the included wall adapter.  LOVE that!  No more batteries unless you chose to use them!  The D’s get quite expensive too, right?

Our favorite thing about this swing that makes it so unique is the fact that you can take the seat off of the swing base easily and smoothly with one touch to bring baby with you without any disturbance.  It makes such a great little portable baby seat!  There are also two little blankets that are attached, so no more falling blankets that slow the swing down and place extra strain on that motor.  Very smart, right?!?!

The only thing that we weren’t crazy about is that although the recline is fantastic and makes it very usable with tiny newborns, the sitting-up position of the seat is still very reclined.  Once baby is at the point that they want to see their surroundings and be a part of things more, really sitting up in it will be difficult.  Propping a blanket behind them may work, but we do wish that there were another click available in the seat adjustment.

Overall, it is by far the best swing that has probably ever been produced and we are highly recommending it.  Finally, Bellaziza has a Favorite Swing!!!  It retails at just over $200, but given the quality of its construction and magnificent design it is very well worth it.  We love this swing and so will you!

How many moms remember those uncomfortable times back when your sweet baby needed some liquid refreshment, but you really needed a little more privacy to be able to whip it out?  It can be a little bit of an issue.  Back in the day we used a receiving blanked rigged into a bra strap…not the most secure method.  It was always so much more fun too when the blanket got yanked down in the middle of a nice dinner out with friends, or in the waiting room at the doctor’s office, or…I digress.

We recently got the chance to try out the super chic M1 Carrier from Lascal – a very innovative Swedish line of high quality children’s products. It is by far the most comfortable carrier on the market for both mother and baby and has so many other great features! It is naturally antibacterial due to its Bamboo fabric components (yayee!!!), and the Bamboo fabric top cover removes in a snap for easy cleaning and also functions as a canopy against sun and wind!!! So, go-go Gadget Baby Carrier!

What do we absolutely love about the M1 ? We love the gadgety “double click” and lock buttons that you can trust to hold your little sweetie snug and secure. Once you hear the second click, you know you’re good to go. We love the lightweight and very breathable high-tech ventilated fabric that it is made of so much too! This is a MUST for hotter climates. It is also so sporty that daddy will love wearing it – BIG plus – let’s give mom a break guys!

Again, we love the fact that the Bamboo Fabric parts (colored) are naturally antibacterial! That alone gets it two big thumbs up from us for being safe for baby, and clean! It’s almost like it cleans itself (okay, not really), but it is easily machine washable, and actually comes out still looking new – much unlike the first carrier that I bought from a competitor that actually cost the same. It comes out of the wash like an absolute champ!

We also love that you get very effective lumbar back support without having to don that “first carrier” that resembled more of a heavy-lifting brace. Not all that flattering in our opinion, and yes, I do plan on allowing the M1 to help me to move on from that “first carrier” experience:)!

We simply have to have “it all”, and this is it! It is also so comfortable to wear… it’s like it just hugs your body! It supports your back very well, and this is coming from someone with a back problem. We really love this one, and of course that is why we are bringing it to you as one of our Favorite Things !

Phil&teds has done a simply amazing job on their Double Inline Sport Stroller! It’s a fear that I think most of us stylin’ mommas have when upgrading from any of the ever-chic single models out there – that we are officially starting down the road to becoming a candidate for Oprah ‘s next “I Let Myself Go” show. With the Phil&teds Double Inline Sport , this no longer becomes an issue. Hooray! (But anyway Oprah , if you are listening, that makeover would still be truly wonderful!)

Luxurious form and unbeatable function in one great package describes this stroller perfectly. It is a brilliant design and the ultimate all-in-one for any chic family on the go. It’s like a Swiss Army Knife met the new Range Rover Sport, and they had a baby stroller together…follow me:)? It incorporates luxury, excellent craftsmanship, uncomparable functionality and a really stylish look.

Specifically, I loved the noticeably comfortable adjustable handle, the smoothness of it’s movement and tight turning radius the most. It really handles so well! I also thought it was so clever how the front wheel locks into place for function as a jogging stroller, and then releases to be the smoothest steering ever!

My very favorite thing about the stroller is it’s unique totally-flat newborn position which is best for babies, while the toddler sits securely on top! This double kit system allows two kids to share the same stroller in many different configurations. Also, an infant car seat can snap in securely with their infant car seat attachment.

With the writers’ strike over and the Oscars quickly approaching, you can rest assured in the fact that although the Best Film is still anyone’s guess, the Best Double Stroller is the Phil&teds Double Inline Sport . The Frog Pod is absolutely fabulous. We loved it’s function the most as it is a very efficient bath toy and product storage solution, but it is so darned cute at the same time! It is super ergonomically designed and very easy to install permanently (with included adhesive strips) or temporarily (with included suction cups). It’s very Kermit meets Martha, if you ask us. The included bath spout cover was so cool too! It spouts the water out in a very fun way and will even dispense your favorite bubble bath at the touch of a button! Beat that!

The other very unique product that we reviewed from Boon is their Trio Elite Animal Bag . It is definitely for the family who has everything but deserves more! It is so comfy to sit on and is the most fun way to store your stuffed animals, pillows, blankets, or whatever… ever! It is made of this incredibly luxurious shag fabric with mesh see through windows. The quality of the materials and construction is way above and beyond and it really makes a statement of taste and style. It can also be found at www.costco.com and is $299.99 including shipping, which is a great deal since the suggested retail on this baby is $399.99!

The Flip Video Camera – It is the hottest video camera out there with the everyday user in mind. It’s portability is unparalleled and it is SO easy to use. They make different models ranging from around $119 to $179 that record from 30 to 60 minutes. It also comes in a bunch of different colors, our favorite being pink – big shock!

Fun and Lovely! I absolutely adore My Vintage Baby and all of its lace and hankies! It really is such a sweet line of girl’s clothing that all of you who appreciate the fine details of vintage pieces will REALLY love.
The outfit that we received (as pictured) is an adorable little tie-dyed tee with a fluffy chenille flower in the middle, and hankie trimmed jeans. TOO CUTE!!! At first, I thought it was so cute, but might be a nightmare out of the wash, but NO! It came out of the washer, I gave it a good shake, and left it to dry on my drying rack. It was ready to wear!

How many of you are certifiable Bag-a-holics? I know that I am. I can go without whatever, but as long as I have a reeeeally nice purse, I am good to go. When I had my daughter Isabella, I refused the idea of a diaper bag. I associated the term with those hideous character bags made of padded vinyl. I did a large super chic Isabella Fiore bag of my dreams instead:)! Did I have to dig in the bottom to find things? Yes. Did I end up overfilling it to the point of some damage? Absolutely. The other totally unique feature is that the lining zips out and can be washed very easily. SO smart! Also, once Junior is out of diapers, you can get the Computer Case Insert ($70) and it completely converts into the most beautiful and functional computer bag / briefcase that you could ever imagine!!

The Maria is our new Favorite Thing and is sure to be one of yours too! Mia Bossi also offers seven other different styles and many colors to choose from. There is even a matching baby carrier – Mia (Look for this to be reviewed by us later) – and some bags that work for Dads – Rex and Tobey (not purse-ish at all)! It is called the Oko by Italtrike and it is the coolest tricycle ever! The first time that I saw it I really liked it, but after using it and testing it out a little, I love it! Where do I start? The super mod Italian design, its’ great functionality, safety features, or high-quality construction? It’s a very well rounded product and one that you are sure to be very happy with.

One really fun thing about it is that it has replaced our stroller now when we go to the zoo or out on a walk! I can steer it pretty easily and Isabella has a LOT more fun than being strapped into a stroller! I love that this toy will be with us for a while too. The parent handle bar thingie adjusts it’s height for your comfort, but is also removable once they can steer on their own. The seat adjusts for height and the three point safety harness can also be removed completely. One thing that we found about the safety harness is that rather than doing the over-the-shoulders style, I put them around her waist. I think that for really little ones it is more secure.

It comes in blue and orange and is sure to please. It even won the prestigious 2007 Top Toy of the Year honor, in the ride-on category, awarded by Creative Child Magazine ! They really did a fantastic job! They are one of our Favorite Things, and soon to be one of yours!

Okay Moms, I am so glad that one of us finally figured out a solution to this problem! When was the last time that little Junior leaked juice all over his car seat? How about that time when your sweet girl did an uh-oh in her car seat that Huggies couldn’t handle? Well, we have all been through it. It’s that monster of a surprise project – take the car seat out, disassemble the straps, remove the cover, wash, dry, reassemble and reinstall that leaves us stranded for at least hours if not the whole day.
