SWAG ALERT: Save Mother Earth This Father’s Day with Blue Avocado

As parents there is nothing better that we can do for our kids than take care of the planet that we will leave them! So we think it’s fitting that we tell you about Blue Avocado just in time for Father’s Day! After all, Dads like to be Eco-Friendly too!

Blue Avocado’s reusable grocery bag system is just about the coolest thing I have found for Eco-Chic Moms and Dads! When I received mine I just had to make a run to the grocery store to try them out! (Thanks Blue Avocado for giving me a reason to get out of the house without the kids!!) It was actually fun to see how much the bagger could fit into each bag! And I was totally the Chatty Kathy in the produce aisle, showing everyone my produce bags and telling them all about my new Favorite Thing! I’ve always hated using those plastic bags for produce so I think the idea is ingenious! Oh, and did I mention how cute the bags are? I just love the colors available! I got BLUE, of course, but there are a few colors to choose from (yes, Crista, there is pink!) and some solid colors for those Eco-Cool Dads out there! blueav2

At the end of my (peaceful for once) shopping trip, I had saved the Earth from 16 bags!! Wow, right?! Once home, it was easy to fold the bags up into their pretty little case. You can buy individual bags of all kinds…big bags, small bags, insulated bags…or buy them all together in a kit!! Easy to store…easy to use…CUTE…and Earth friendly! Yay for Blue Avocado!!!

What's the deal with normal produce bags? Why do they have to be so flimsy and annoying? There's never a way to reuse them because they always have holes. Blue Avocado's bags are so much better!

I love that stores in Canada and Europe are charging customers for bags if they don't bring their own. Here, some stores give the customer money back for reusing bags. I've seen up to 10 cents per bag. These sets of bags would be like an instant coupon every time one checks out with them. Love them! Thanks!

I've been slackin with the long weekend, I've been so busy. We had a great fourth and several trips to the market. I bought lots of fresh produce and was really thinking about all the plastic veggie bags I could save from the landfills. I think it's great that Blue Avocado's mission "is not just about our customers' journey, it's about ours. I feel like a lot of companies sell green products just to make money or because it's the thing to do, but this company seems like they truly care about the environment and the way that we all live our lives in relation to the earth.

I would SO love having something so convenient. Right now I'm trying to use those cloth-like bags that are so unyielding, take so much room to store and because they are so bulky I cannot just grab them and go. This means I use them about half the time and the rest of the time I'm collecting plastic. Yeck!

What a great idea, Blue Avacado! The first thing I noticed about the bags when I went to your website was the fact that they're compact and able to fold/smush (is that a word?!?) into a handy-dandy little case, or the "pack bag", as you call it I believe, on your site. That's huge! One key aspect to getting people (especially parents!) to use something green and earth-friendly is it's size and ability to be carried on the go. Way to go!

the lime is a beautiful color. My favorites are the veg x2 produce bags. I have yet to find reusable produce bags that I like. And the chill insulated bag. I have to bring a cooler with me when I go shopping at some stores because they are about 30 mins away. I usually try not to buy frozen/cold foods there. This would be a great way to keep those items cold till I get home without the bulk of a cooler in the car.

The United States is behind the times when it comes to recycling plastic bags or banning them altogether. Canada, for instance, charges per bag, and many grocery stores in Europe have recycling bins for bags that customers may reuse upon entering the store.

Blue Avocado seems to have come up with a way to convince consumers that reusable bags are a good idea. Space saving and available in solids or patterns, going green can be stylish and functional. I absolutely love the Solid Full Kit and the way it folds up into a handy, pocket-book sized carrier. The insulated bag is my favorite as it replaces 3 plastic bags by holding up to twenty pounds of frozen food. Not to mention, it keeps your groceries cool for up to 3 hours. No paper or plastic bag can do that!

These are great! Love how portable they seem... For someone who has a huge collection of mismatched, large & unwieldy tote bags, to replace them all with these great bags would be awesome. I love the solid sage bags... and what I love about the company is that they are using recycled materials for the bags. There are only so many times you can reuse an ordinary plastic bag... these keep you from ever needing to pick up another one!

I love these kits, they would make shopping so much easier. I lug my own bags, but they do not match, and are not nearly as rugged or cool as the cool kit with its funky blue design. My favorite product is the "Chil" Insulated bag. It keeps food either hot or cold for up to 3 hours and it can hold 20 lbs of frozen food!

I love these! My biggest problem lately is making sure I have my huge bags with me when I go shopping. These bags fold for such easy convienience I could keep them right inside my purse and never forget them or have the hassle of lugging the big ones.
The products are so colourful and I love the choices. Even the plain grey looks fabulous :) Anyhow my favourite product has to be the pod. I like that it is small and very cute too. Nothing like shopping in style!

Wow! All those bags fit in that nice little toss in your bag deal - love it. I just plain hate plastic bags and think they need to set a date to stop manufacturing them all together. One plastic bag takes 1000 years to biodegrade in a landfill. Not pretty.
