  • Shelene

I think this is a great tool for any home with an infant. For my last kids I used my food processor this looks so much easier. Great prize

With my Husband being a vegitarian a product to make our own baby food is high on the priority list. We don’t feel ourselves processed foods and don’t want to feed baby processed food either.

The product looks easy to use and easy to clean, a key for any busy parent!
    Thanks for sharing.

The thought of making my own baby food…well quite frankly it scares me. The Beaba makes the process look easy and maybe..even fun! I would be delighted to give my baby the very best thanks to this lil handy machine. Thanks.

  • Sarah C.

I would love to make my own baby food – and control what goes in, eliminate the jars or containers, and freeze extra for later use! I’m really impressed that the steamer automatically turns off when food is done – that seems like a little thing until you have three kids demanding your time during the dinner hour!

  • http://lovingheartdesigns.blogspot.com/ gahome2mom

I like that the site is secured with McAfee. I also think the product is a beautiful shade of green. The safety features are wonderful. (bpafree)Thanks.

Easy to clean. Store bought baby food is expensive. Even more if you go organic. Not to mention it’s just not enough for my food-demolishing kid. I try not to eat processed foods so I don’t want my baby eating it either.

  • Christina G.

The Babycook Babyfood Maker looks really nice, and it’s so much healthier for your baby to eat real food. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • http://kevnjacks.blogspot.com Jackie H

What a timesaver! I love how it steams and purees in ONE container (less mess and easy to clean, too)! So, you can put the veggies in and step away to attend to the kiddies – love it! :)

I think the product looks great, but the website seems a little cold and uninviting to me for some reason. Maybe a picture of the product being used would be nice.

  • Kelly Sellevaag

Wow! That’s looks great. No BPA is a huge plus. Also the ability to reheat food is great. I rarely use my microwave but its hard to heat baby food without it. I lov making my own baby food and this seems like i sure would simplify the process!

  • http://www.mamasmoneysavers.com Cher

I love that the company’s mission is to listen to what parents want and prioritizing the safety, functionality and ergonomics of their products. Great Giveaway my little just started eating solids.

    Thanks

  • Lindley

I like that it comes with all the tools you need (especially the cookbook- it is hard to think creatively when you are so busy!) and it is nice that they offer free shipping on this product. I bet it would save a ton of money to make your own food-thanks!

  • Kristina G.

My son is now 8 months old and I am making his food at home. It is difficult sometimes with meats, this is such a great solution for food making!

  • Molly K

Wow. I wish they had this when my first born was an infant. It looks so nice and compact and cute. It wouldn’t be an eye sore sitting on the counter like my big blender is.

  • Christine Groce

My daughter is on baby #2 and my other daughter is expecting hers in 2 weeks. This certainly would come in handy somewhere. They will probably fight over it and I will have to buy another one. Please count me in. Thanks!!

Cher – Thanks for the comment but you do not need to comment that you are a subscriber. All subscribers are automatically entered! Thanks for reading and being so faithful with your comments!!!

  • Hollie

This is really fabulous! I love that it does everything in one place – steams, purees, de-frosts AND reheats. We have #2 coming in about a month and I’d love this. With #1 I hated having to haul out the big food processor for only a little bit of food at the beginning or when I wasn’t ready to make a big batch.

  • Claire

Cooks and purees in one – I would ACTUALLY do it!!

  • Chris

I love that you can do everything with one device. My sister-in-law recently had her third child and she doesn’t like commercial foods for the baby. This would surely simplify her life.

  • Pat

Good for Beaba for coming to the United States after the firm was already a success all over Europe. I applaud the concept of making baby food at home; this product does everything (steams, purees, defrosts, reheats) so I think it is electrically energy efficient as well as human energy efficient. Thank you for introducing me to Beaba.

Thanks also for the contest. Best wishes for a happy & prosperous 2009!

  • adrienne Gordon

I love the concept of this product.

  • Maggie M

The BEABA Babycook Babyfood Maker is a great way to make fresh, organic, bpa-free food for baby at home. It’s an all-in-one maker/cooker – it steams, blends, warms or defrosts precooked foods, while preserving vitamins and flavors. Terrific invention. And congratulations to them for being 1 of the 10 winners of the 2008 JPMA Innovation Award. Plus, they even give you a recipe booklet to go with the Babycook Babyfood Maker. I’d love to win!

  • jan koontz

    you are just to cool

with all the concerns of what is going into food and where the food comes from, this is so great for making our own baby food. This way we know exactly what goes into the food and we can keep it organic. I love that this makes it so quick and easy.

  • Deborah R

What an awesome product! At the site I learned that vegetables, fruits and meats steam in less than 15 minutes and retain their vitamins and flavors. After blending them to the desired consistency, parents can freeze extra portions and later use their Babycook to quickly defrost and reheat previously prepared food. Too cool!

  • evelyn

    It’s awesome I’m in

  • maureen

I saw this online and then at a store and I have been so tempted to purchase it for my sister. She just had baby #3. She is very much into what is best for her children. Another sister had cancer and this sister (the new mother) was her private duty oncology nurse. This sister loves to prepare food and freeze it and then take it out for a later date. I love that this machine will help in that way. I think this is just fantastic.

  • http://www.tiedyediva.etsy.com Jen

I love that you can make 2 cups at once with the Babycook! With my older 2 kids, I used the hand crank food mill … one little baby serving at a time…

  • shar

love that products are bpa free

  • Sarah C.

My daily entry for today – We bought organic food for my second baby, and I would love to cut costs a bit by making my own. It would be nice to be able to control what goes in to my littlest eater. As a working mommy, the convenience and reduced cleanup of an item like this would make it worth it’s weight in gold!

  • http://www.tiedyediva.etsy.com Jen
  • laura

Love the products. I think the web looks a little too “template” though. Needs to be a little cleaner – maybe white and green?

    thanks

  • Natalie

Love that this includes everything you need except the food!

  • http://www.imagesbykristentaylor.com Kristen

I like the idea behind this website.. it’s so important to start your baby off right as far as nutrition goes. And this website/product is a great start!

  • Carrie Miyake

I like that their site is so easy to navigate. As for the product, I appreciate that it is BPA free. I would love to win this item because I am planning on making food for our baby from the organic produce that we receive and like that I know what will be going into my babies food.

What a great product, if i won i would use it a ton. I’m committed to making as much of my baby girls food as possible, but i’m also pretty busy. I love that this little machine cooks and blends the food, and I love that its BPA free (i’m terrified of toxic plastics these days).
    thanks
    veggiemcveggie at gmail dot com

  • Bhavana

I love that it is all in one!!! It steams, it cooks, purees and reheats. I have made my own food for my first born and I can tell you that it takes a lot more vessels and utensils to get all of this done. This can be kept on the counter top too since it is a great size and looks wonderful.
I will starting solids for my 5 month old next month and have been planning to make food at home for him. I learnt that store bought jarred baby food( even organic) is made from over ripe vegetables and fruits meaning that a lot of nutrients is lost in the process. Using this would nto just be saving money but would be SO much better for baby. Thanks for the oppurtunity to win this. I hope I get picked.

  • jenna

I like how easy this is to use. I also like that it has fast clean up. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Valerie

I like that it is bpa free and that it defrosts and reheats baby food! This would be so wonderful to use with #2, due in May. Awesome giveaway, thank you!

  • SharonC

Website is easy to use and their product looks great. I would love to try it.

  • shari

I love how this product is BPA free–I switched to all BPA free products when I read about the dangers of BPA. This is great because my current food processor has BPA in it and I don’t want this chemical leaching into my baby’s food.

  • Simone

We are going to be starting on solids soon and this looks easier than a food processor.

  • http://minilegs.blogspot.com Melanie B

  • c. clemens

Making your own baby food is less expensive and safer because you know exactly what the ingredients are!

  • http://createdinhissight.blogspot.com/ Sara Rose

I love first that the baby food maker is BPA free, second this looks amazing! I love how easy it looks and like it says on their site ~ “Parents can now buy healthier, fresher food for their babies and prepare tasty meals quickly and easily” this is so appealing to me. I have a four month old and he will be eating before I know it. I have a 2 year old also and I made ALL of his food, I never gave him and store bought food and let me just tell you that I would have loved this and know that it would have saved me so much time time that could have been better spent. It was all worth it but Knowing that there is something out there that could save time is comforting. I would love to win this awesome Beaba Babycook. Thank you for entering me!!
    Sara

  • http://createdinhissight.blogspot.com/ Sara Rose

I am going to take full advantage of all possible entries for this contest because it looks truly amazing!

I love that the Babycook from what I can tell from the website. It is incredible that I can throw some fresh carrots in there and in 15 minutes have a very healthy meal for my baby. No more steaming the veggies first (that takes at least 20 minutes) then having to pure them for an additional few minutes plus I have a big mess. This would save me so much time and so much cleaner! I like how stylish it looks too, I wouldn’t feel embarrassed just leaving it out on my counter top for all the world to see!
    Thank you for entering me!

  • http://littlefamilybigwoods.blogspot.com Erin

I saw this in the Williams-Sonoma catalog over the Holidays, and drooling commenced! We made our own baby food with our son, and we have a daughter on the way, that I’ll be doing the same. This nifty appliance would sure make it quicker and more convenient! I love how inexpensive and healthy it is to make your own food, and I love that the Babycook does it all for you, and that many of the components are top-rack dishwasher safe–yippee for convenience! I’d be jumping for joy to win this baby! <3 tobefrank[at]tds[dot]net

OMG, I totally wanted to get this when it first came out at Williams-Sonoma. As it was with many baby things, DH would not let me get it. I totally love the fact that it’ll do everything in 1 machine rather than having to use multiple pots, pans, and blenders. Love it!

  • Aura

Did Crista have a baby yet? I miss her responses to comments. I like that it has a steamer that automatically turns off when the food is done.

  • dawn

Its great that it makes 2 cups at once and it only takes one machine to do it all. Great giveaway Thanks

  • tracy davis

I love the ease of use, as well as the colors.

  • allie

I love the fact that the Beaba steams food on its own and stops when the food is done!

  • http://www.bellazizasfavorites.com Crista, Bellaziza Editor

    Hi Aura!

Ooohhh! No, Crista did not have the baby yet. (Speaking in the 3rd person seems strangely appropriate in response, haha!) No baby yet, but I am due today so send lots of warm thoughts of labor for me and things should be happening ANYTIME now:)!!

As for the Beaba Babycook, it REALLY is incredible. It offers all of us health conscious mommies to have complete control as to exactly what our babies are consuming and that’s not all. You will actually save money! It’s such a great tool and we were so happy to have found it to pass on to all of you! Good luck on the SWAG ALERT, and thanks for asking about me Aura:)!

I PROMISE Tasha will be posting all of the info on the baby’s birth just as SOON as we know:)! (I’m praying for sooooonnnnn:)!!!!!)

    :) Crista

  • Valerie

Wow, this would be so great. I made a lot of food (definitely not all) for my son, but it was such a pain – it took forever and was SO messy. This looks amazingly fast and easy, with only one machine to clean! And no BPA is huge, and dishwasher safe – awesome! Plus it is fun – great colors and cool design.

  • Monique Rizzo

BPA free is a great plus! Thanks for the chance.

I like the Babycook Babyfood Maker because it looks easy to use. I would definitely purchase this as a gift for a baby shower. It would be a great way to ensure babies get nutritious, tasty meals with a lot of variety.

  • Deborah R

Another thing I think is great is that BEABA collaborated with the famous French nutritionist Agnès Mignonac to create Babycook’s recipe booklet. Now there’s no more worrying if you’re feeding baby the right thing.

  • suzanne

I have been struggling with baby food. My little one will not eat what I make, only store bought jars. I beleive it has to do with cooking lenght and food consistency. This would be the greatest tool to help keep her healthy, So I thank you for helping me discover it. Thanks again

  • Kirsten

I like the fact that they are BPA free. Way back in the old days ;) I can remember my husband making baby food in our blender. This is a pretty cool set-up.

  • allie henneberry

I like that you can control the consistency of baby food. So you could do a smooth puree for a new eater, and slowly add more texture as baby is ready for it. What a great feature!

Perhaps the baby I’m waiting on (due tomorrow!) would arrive sooner if he/she knew this was waiting! (Crista – hope you’re hanging in there, too!)

I love that we could use this for purees to incorporate into other healthy meals for the whole family, even after baby is done eating exclusively pureed foods.

I have always been interested in making my own baby food, but never did with #1. I spent a fortune on babyfood and knew that making my own would be much better for her. I just figured with working full-time that I didn’t have the time. This though looks so handy. It takes care of everything. I would definitely use this for #2.

I went to Williams Sonoma to check this out in person–I love the size of it. It’s not huge like some other appliances out there so I would be able to keep it on my counter all the time without it taking up too much space.

  • http://www.tiedyediva.etsy.com Jen

Everywhere you go, all the health professionals have the same advice, eat whole, minimally processed, organic, locally grown foods. That’s simply something you can’t buy in a jar for your baby and the Babycook would make it so easy do to at home!

  • Mary A

I love the fact that it is BPA free. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • zmama

Such a great product for moms with tots! Love the color combos and the ease of use!!

  • http://little-linus.blogspot.com/ Alison

I have been coveting the Beaba. My son is now 8 months and is starting pureed food (I know, late). We use a baby mill grinder from when I was a baby 30 years ago, but it makes such a little amount, and I still have to use a pot and pan, steamer basket, etc. The BEABA is a one stop shop, and it is BPA free. As a full time working mother, having a small, safe mechanism for making our baby healthy and organic food without spending a fortune is highly desirable!

  • Leslee Laverdure

The best food for your baby – what more could a parent want. Looks awesome! I hope I win.

  • Lisa C.

I love that the Beaba Babycook is BPA-free!

  • Tobster

On their site they only sell the Babycook — there are several accessories that would be great to have available. For instance, the ice trays for storing food, or cookbooks for babyfood purees! I know I’ll be getting some :)

  • allie

i appreciate that they have a pdf of the instruction manual available for download on the website — it’s pretty much guaranteed that i will misplace a appliance’s manual and not be able to find it when i need it!

  • Elizabeth G

My baby is getting to the age when we’ll be starting baby food. This product looks wonderful. I like that it is BPA free.

  • Elissa

It is such a nice, little size! I have been hauling my whole food processor out. This would be a lot more handy.

  • JS Hess

Wow- This product looks amazing. I’ve heard about it, but never researched it. I love that it is BPA-free, that it also defrosts and reheats frozen food, and how much it could save on baby food! I particularly appreciate that the steamer turns off automatically after the food is done- it seems much safer! It looks fun, easy, and like a money-saver! Thanks for this chance!!

No wonder BEABA has become a leading brand across Europe…it looks so easy & safe to use. I love that it’s bpafree!

  • Brooke

This is so nice… I worry about using the same blender to make lil kiwi’s food and ours also… With her medical issues I am more worried about little things but with a Beaba Babycook it would be for only her and I wouldn’t have to worry about it… One less thing to worry is always good…

  • Adrian Lamont

I like their site, it’s simple and balanced….

  • Ronda Redshaw

Wow! I’m so glad that parent’s today are finally coming around, I was making my own baby food 24 years ago! Back then I didn’t trust companies to make my baby food safely. This product is great, if I had something like this back then it would have been a lot easier. I am now going to be a grandma for the 1st time, this would be a wonderful gift for my daughter.

  • Valerie

I like your idea of making applesauce – my parents have apple trees, so we make a lot of applesauce and it is a long process. But with this we could whip some up quickly, since it steams the apples AND purees them! So we could make a batch to snack on while the rest are steaming in their big industrial pots. I think of more uses for this every day – it seems like an extremely versatile tool!

Good luck – I hope your L&D go really smoothly!

  • oona b

I like that they have live chat, so if I have any questions they get answered right away. That is SO nice! But their website is sort of strange – do they only carry this one item? It looks like at one point they carried more, but this is the only item listed right now. Still, it is a nice, easy to use website – I’d like to see more cool products like this!

  • Barbara

I love how this will steam and puree – and you can customize your baby food prep to baby’s tastes, your household menus, and baby’s eating development including how thick/thin baby prefers meals. I’d love to be feeding little one from the same foods we eat, and so often the ingredients I’m using for our meals would be perfect to steam and serve up to baby – it could be done easily while we’re cooking without tying up precious space on the stove!

It sounds like it would be easier to really puree things in this – we have a nice blender, but some things (like green beans) just didn’t get smooth enough, and our son wouldn’t eat them. With this, it sounds like you get a nice even texture (unless you choose to have more chunks!) which is perfect!

  • Adrian Lamont

I like their site, it’s simple and balanced……

I’m just about to cook up some butternut squash for my baby, and it would be so much easier with the Beaba Babycook — this device cuts down on the number of steps, number of dirty dishes, and the overall amount of effort it takes to make healthy homemade baby food!
